it is all happening on a Sun’s day… sunday the 23rd of March to be exact. it feels like an auspicious date, 2 days post Equinox, the wheel of the year in a new motion, buds teasing green white leaves in the sunlight. I will be traversing London performing for two very special events, read on below to find out more.
4pm on Sunday 23rd, I am honoured to be sharing a grounding and opening Qi Gong session at Ormside Projects, Peckham, to welcome folks into the event
Free Movements is one of London’s most intimate and forward-thinking parties—a community space with experimental live and instrumental sets, djs, video art, installations, talks and food. Taking place on Sunday daytimes and embracing the ethos of DIY rave and freeparty culture, their events invite us to be part of the spontaneous creation of rave-spaces which encourage freedom, creativity and resistance.
Raves are healing, and this event and it's organisers are the embodiment of that ethos. It is simply a dream to be asked to guide party-goers through their bodies and (hopefully) into a place of awareness and intention, so their movements can flow into the rest of the night. As well as incredible live music, Free Movements will also host a talk between Ayed Fadel & Amir Ashka on music in Palestinian resistance. At 7pm the same day, at the Barbican Centre - i will be sharing an hour long soundscape for the event Concrete Garden : Fertile Ground. It will be the closing ceremony for a day long event in the majestic green conservatory that is every plant lover’s inner city paradise, and it is truly a joy to be asked to perform amongst the brutalist flora.
from midday you can enthral in a day of readings, talks and activations. THINK community herbalism/ the practice of dreaming and worldbuilding with the more-than-human/ecological consciousness/SLIME.
Please come witness me weave together the day’s thoughts into a musical soundscape- I will be bringing my flute, my heart, and lots of bass, to attempt to sing a song worthy enough to get all the microbiomes in the soil wiggling!

thank you for reading this far, as you may know, I have been offline and 000 lots, processing the deaths of a parent and other loved ones. I may be writing more about this evolving initiation into my emotional realm at some point, but just to say — thank you for the patience, I am learning that slowness is my closest ally at this time.
